At the wonderful Boomerstock conference I attended last Fall, Will Randolph reminded us that “grandparents are the linchpin connecting the church to the next generation of young people.” They are key to the spiritual development of the children in our midst. With that in mind, my congregation at Siloam United Church is hosting a two-part grand-parenting workshop. Please check it out. We would love to have you join us if you can!
Calling all grandparents /and those filling the role of grandparent!
Grand-parenting has changed dramatically in the past two generations. This workshop will give you a chance to think about the impact of those changes on you and on your grandchildren.Come spend two Saturday mornings celebrating the joys of grand-parenting and discussing some of the many challenges of the role.
Your guide through this workshop will be Susan McKane, mother, grandmother and retired parent educator at Merrymount Children’s Centre.
Where: Library-Chapel, Siloam United Church, 1240 Fanshawe Park Road E., London, ON
When: Saturday, April 29th and Saturday, May 13th, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.
